Lane End engaged with Cidon early in the process to deliver to the Drainage, Substructure and Superstructure works for the Academy Street project in Warrington.
Cidon's proactive approach throughout the planning and construction phases enabled a quality concrete frame to be delivered safely to programme. Their flexibility in taking on additional works, in this case the SFS and external boarding gave us a seamless transition to the façade works with relatively few issues.
Any matters were dealt with between the parties in a fair and timely fashion, and from a commercial perspective, the final account was easily settled to our mutual satisfaction.
I would not hesitate in recommending Cidon and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Cidon completed the RC frames for SRM on the Embankment West project in Salford. With an order value of just under £10m, they progressed 3 number 18 storey frames concurrently, mixing traditional and PT, their approach was collaborative, quality was very good and progress was in line with the agreed programme, which was developed with them. They were attentive and helpful in the PCSA stage and delivered on site as expected. When Covid 19 first hit, they were the first to introduce revised methods of working in order to maintain some level of output. I would definitely recommend Cidon to others and I'm sure I will be working with them again.
Sir Robert McAlpine
I am delighted to write to you to thank you and your team for the excellent work completed at the Project Leaf project for our mutual Client, Ahlstrom Munksjö.
From as soon as we engaged with you, you assisted us in developing the Concrete Mezzanine scheme, in conjunction with the Structural Engineer. Your teams' professionalism and organisational skills ensured that the works were delivered on programme and within budget. The concrete mezzanine works were one of the key activities on the project and the successful delivery of your works has contributed to the overall success of the project.
This project was the first one we have delivered together. As a result of your performance, we will not hesitate to ask you to work on other appropriate projects.
Please convey our thanks to your team for the excellent product they delivered. Good luck with the rest of the year, and hopefully we will have the opportunity to work together again soon.

The Spine of Paddington Village has recently been awarded ‘Most Considerate Site’ at the Considerate Constructors Scheme national awards.
Throughout the building, stood the remarkable fine finish patterned concrete columns. This required a high level of quality control from mix design to formwork detailing to achieve this aesthetic outcome. The team’s technical knowledge was exceptional, to a point that Morgan Sindall requested the technical team to deliver a number of bespoke workshops on concrete and specifications in our Knowledge Quarter. It is clear that Cidon have a genuine interest and commitment to training and apprentices, something which this project and local area really saw the benefit from.
Cidon demonstrated an excellent level of technical knowledge; and ensuring a consistently high standard of safety and quality at all times, with the correct procedures in place. The team are well established, and competent for any task given with a fantastic aptitude to working throughout the day. Cidon were a pleasure to work with, both during the planning and construction phases, overall delivering an exceptional project and service ahead of programme. I would I highly recommend them.
Sir Robert McAlpine engaged with Cidon Construction during the PCSA to deliver the Drainage, Substructure and Superstructure works for a landmark 614 apartment Build to Rent development in Salford Quays. Cidon had previously delivered a number of schemes with Sir Robert McAlpine and therefore we were confident that they had the ability, capacity and indeed enthusiasm to correctly plan, design and deliver what turned out to be a £12m + package of works. Cidon’s team of multidisciplinary individuals were a pleasure to works with, both during the planning and construction phases. Professional, considerate, driven and collaborative are all words I would use to describe the site team, from project management to the concrete finisher. Sir Robert McAlpine, and indeed our client, have been delivered a first class concrete frame with the quality we wanted and expected but more importantly ahead of programme, which enabled follow on trades to commence early securing our overall construction programme. Cidon Construction will be at the top of my list of RC contractors when planning and procuring the next project and I highly recommend them.
Sir Robert McAlpine
Cidon was our first choice for the concrete frame for the 135 bedroom apartment scheme at Port Street for Mulbury City Ltd. Their performance and knowledge is second to none with safety as paramount to the company ethos and workforce discipline towards the project and project management teams.
Good and intensive knowledge of working at heights, planning and safety procedures are first class with limited stoppages for any egresses to safety, a well-established multi-disciplined works force competent for any task given and shown to them with a fantastic aptitude to working throughout the day “no task a problem”. Any Training shortages (if any) are rectified straight away, from their training department and refresher course given onsite and independent parties.
I wouldn’t hesitate to involve and employ Cidon for any future works on concrete frames and concrete works including drainage, excavation works. A great company with a fantastic work ethic!

Excelsior Works has been a technically and logistically challenging project. Cidon's 'can do' and proactive approach has helped us overcome these obstacles and successfully deliver the frame in a timescale that many thought was not possible.
Student Castle procured Cidon Construction to carry out all sub-structure and superstructure concrete works along with internal drainage works and the supply and installation of 3no tower cranes on this scheme. Following the appointment of Cidon Construction and given the logistics of the site and traffic management due to its location within the city centre, we held numerous meetings both at head office and on site to discuss and liaise the works, both commercially and constructive, in moving the project forward. We found Cidon Construction and their on-site management team to be pro-active in all aspects, especially where Health & Safety was concerned.
All works were carried out to programme and within budget with the final handover of the 3 blocks completed 2 weeks ahead of programme. As above all works were carried out to a high degree of workmanship and professionalism and we would most definitely consult with them should we decide to commission, design and build further schemes in the future.
On the X1 Aire project, Cidon performed to a very high standard in a totally professional manner. The quality of work produced was excellent, which was achieved whilst maintaining a very fast floor to floor cycle. This enabled Cidon to complete ahead of programme. The quality of staff and operatives was excellent; they displayed a professional and proactive attitude to design and construction issues. An exceptionally good working relationship developed between Cidon and Bardsley site teams which contributed greatly to the overall benefit of the project. The health and safety performance throughout the project was sustained at the highest level and must be commended.

Studio Libeskind appreciated being offered the chance to actively review reference projects with Cidon, Interserve and Arup. This supported the design team in optimising the mixes, shuttering types and placement methodologies for the visible concrete that is so important in this award winning job.
I am writing with reference to the completed Spire Healthcare Scheme, in particular the scope of works carried out by Cidon Construction.
Cidon Construction were awarded the concrete frame and enabling works package for a £35m private healthcare scheme in Didsbury, Manchester.
I would like to congratulate Cidon Construction on the successful conclusion to their subcontract package works. Their overall performance and subsequent contribution to the project cannot be underestimated.
Their approach and management of the works is testament to their professionalism and proactive attitude to matters both Construction and Fiscal. The Health & Safety performance on what is a complex project can only be commended.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with Cidon Construction on future schemes.
I have had the opportunity of working with Cidon on the South London EfW in Croydon. Cidon delivered a very complex and challenging project to a tight programme. They were proactive in offering construction and design advise for the benefit of the wider project and the technical understanding shown by their site team was exceptional. Overall a very professional and successful project for all involved.
Commercially we were always kept informed of any changes and these were well presented and agreed in a timely manner.
I would be happy to recommend Cidon to anyone considering a concrete works package.

It’s been a monumental effort by all involved on what was a very challenging build, on such a tight site with many logistical challenges, a keen programme and a very detailed high quality concrete specification. The standard of workmanship is exceptional and has wowed many visitors to the site including our Client Muse Developments and the end user South Tyneside Council. You assembled a very skilled and high calibre workforce on site who cooperated with our requirements throughout maintaining high standards in all aspects from start to completion, so many thanks to all of them and more specifically to your site supervisor Scott Rodgers who lead this team very well.
I hope we have the opportunity to work together again in the not too distant future.

Following our client's late withdrawal of the previously agreed lightweight steel frame solution, we were delighted at Cidon's professional approach with a "can do" attitude which resulted in the concrete frame design being completed, materials procured and work commencing on site in a very short timeframe. This ensured that our construction works were able to commence on time and any delays to programme avoided. Both the site team and project management team proved to be very helpful and knowledgeable, often offering value engineered solutions for various challenges that were faced on site, along with an exceptional Health and Safety culture which ultimately led to a successful project completion.

I have had the opportunity of working with Cidon Construction on two projects, namely Cleveland EFW and Ferrybridge EFW. On each project, Cidon Construction have taken control of very challenging and complex operations, and delivered each successfully, whilst maintaining their control on HSE, quality and programme. Cidon Construction has a management and site staff of exceptional talent and experience that are adaptable and dependable, an asset to any project.

I write to express our thanks for the works undertaken by Cidon Construction here at Student Castle Walmgate. The concrete frame works have progressed and been completed in a manner that is worthy of praise. The works were completed ahead of time and Cidon were instrumental in making this possible. This was achieved by assisting and providing services to overcome issues with the design and construction. The construction was managed pro-actively and safely, joined with a good working relationship formed between Cidon and Vinci site teams made this possible. The approach by Cidon has been welcomed by the team here at Vinci and we look forward to opportunities to work together in the future.

I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Cidon Construction to perform high-quality concrete construction. The finish to the exposed walls, we worked alongside Cidon and Sir Robert McAlpine through an extensive mock-up process in which they provided invaluable input. Three Driven Voids, 6M diameter hollow concrete cylinders which extend 30M up through the building and tilt 12 degrees to provide structure, natural ventilation and light through the centre of the building. The steel shutters, along with the self-consolidating concrete they specified, along with their exceptional placement technique provided a concrete finish as smooth as silk. They used one floor-high outer cylindrical shutter, and two inside shutters to permit the sequencing to hop from one void to the next continuously. Each is carved out with rectangular openings oblique to the tube, created curved shapes which were blocked-out with CNC milled plywood. The openings have the crispest edges and profiles I have ever seen in concrete.

Glasgow School of Art, Seona Reid Building
On all four projects, Cidon have performed to a very high level. The quality of the work produced is excellent. On the two basement contracts, their ability to manage the significant temporary works was commendable. The quality of staff and operatives provided is high which contributes significantly to the service provided. In terms of organisation on site and ability to provide and keep to a programme Cidon's performance has been very good. All four sub contracts have finished ahead or on programme. Commercially, Cidon Construction are fair and reasonable in all dealings. In respect to Health and Safety, I have no concerns over the way Cidon have conducted their business either directly on site or in the preparation of documentation. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cidon Construction to anyone considering to use them on concrete works.

On behalf of myself, our site team and Tolent Construction we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the rapid and efficient progress made during the erection of the concrete frame for the tower block at Eastern Boulevard Leicester, which has now been named "The Summit". We would all like you to pass on our thanks to the site team, who played such a pivotal role in driving the programme and additional technical and safety support provided throughout the scheme from the rest of your management team. Cidon’s programme turnaround, by improving the floor to floor cycles and the innovative introduction of the precast concrete columns gave us a great spring board to achieve success with our own works. We could not have wished for a better starting platform. It was also pleasing to note the final account settled to our mutual satisfaction so quickly and fairly.
