Spire Hospital

Following an impressive project delivery for Vinci Construction at Student Castle in York, Cidon Construction were subsequently awarded the new Spire Hospital project in Manchester.

Cidon were appointed to undertake the full substructure and superstructure package incorporating bamtec reinforced slabs and hydrotherapy pool structure.

Built on the Siemens Princess Parkway site in Didsbury, the new facility was a flagship hospital within Spire's portfolio, incorporating some of the most advanced medical facilities.

The hospital was equipped to undertake a significantly enhanced range of services, including highly complex surgery and medicine through a large and fully functioning Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU), as well as state of the art diagnostic and imagery equipment from Siemens.

Facilities included a hydrotherapy pool, hybrid theatre and a 150 seat education centre.
