Cidon were appointed to deliver the reinforced concrete package to this EFW scheme for client PAPREC.  Our previous expertise and success in the Energy sector, was instrumental to this award.

Paprec, a French-based leader in recycling and green energies, and Binn Group, Scotland’s largest independent waste management company, have joined forces to for the Energy from Waste (EfW) facility which will provide low carbon energy to local industries.

The new EfW facility at Binn Eco Park in, Scotland, will consist of a number of structures, including a groundworks package, and Slipform bunker and core, delivered within 36 weeks.

The new EfW will provide a renewable and stable electricity or heat source to businesses and other energy users.

Unique Features

  • Extensive experience in this sector enabled Cidon to develop robust and efficient design solutions for both Temporary and Permanent works.
  • Reduced level dig and associated cropping of both CFA and secant piles
  • Installation of all process drainage, service ducts, pits, troughs and ancillary structures.
  • Waste bunker at 23 metre high x 27 metre long, constructed using a slipform rig, operating on a 24-hour cycle, completed ahead of programme over a 6 day period.
